The planet of transformation, death and rebirth, the work of transiting Pluto’s is internal, within each of us, and we make up the collective. As Pluto evolves through the cycle of the signs so does the fundamental motivations within our subconscious that then are expressed through a higher vibration or lower vibration (shadow) and made visible out in the world. Being the outermost, most slow moving planet, Pluto’s impact is highly significant in changing humanity and shaping the course of history.
Pluto in Aquarius began its annual retrograde as well as its first retrograde in Aquarius on May 1, 2023 and lasts until October 10, 2023 when Pluto stations direct in Capricorn.
Within that time frame, Pluto moves back into the last degrees of Capricorn on June 10, 2023. This retrograde is the first of two retrograde phases where Pluto will hang out going back and forth over the Capricorn, Aquarius cusp before fully moving into Aquarius which will be on November 19, 2024. Since Pluto’s entry into Aquarius on March 23rd, we have felt the draw to deep shadow work around our individuality and the authenticity of our lives. However, we didn’t have the time to gain much momentum and significantly experience the effects of this transition. The Cosmos is showing us we aren’t done with Pluto in Capricorn and we need to take a serious review and evaluate how well or not so well we’ve grown and healed through the expression and lessons of Capricorn.
This five month extremely slow rewind will take us back over the deep psychological mining we’ve done concerning our personal integrity, inner authority and control issues, especially over this past year. A powerful time to face ourselves and consciously purge what has been hurting and holding us back from realizing more fully our personal potential that gives meaning and value to our lives. Important life goals and desires that inspire, have purpose and bring fulfilment.
Adding to the potency of this first retrograde phase is Pluto in a tight square with the South and North Nodes underlining issues around personal power, stability, fear and courage through compelling old karmic patterns that hold us back as well as an urgent sense of destiny leading us forward. Increasing the complexity of this square is the transition of the nodes from Taurus/Scorpio to Aries/Libra that will affect us and our relationships, personally and collectively. The transition of the nodes is days before this square that peaks this summer between July 27, 2023 and August 3, 2023.
This can feeling challenging, and decisions may need to be made, yet always remember that squares or any aspect is an opportunity to integrate the energies, the lessons and the gifts of the planets and signs. When that integration is done consciously is when the gift is found.
