Full Moon in Libra - April 12, 2025, 8:22 PM, EDT

After eclipse season and the many planetary shifts of March, the month of April calls us back into balance with the Full Moon in Libra. With a lovely, luminous light, this Full Moon in Libra reveals the dynamics of relationships, calling our attention to how we give and receive, hold space for others and whether that space honors our truth as well.

This lunar phase is the opposition of the Moon in Libra and the Sun in Aries. Symbolized by the scales of justice, Libra is the peacemaker. Naturally attuned to equity, the art of relationship and beauty, the high ideals of Libra seeks to bring opposites together in graceful alignment. Symbolized by the warrior, Aries is a defender by nature, independent and passionate, seeking courage found through facing fears

With Chiron, fused with the Sun in Aries, this Full Moon brings light to a deep layer of emotional pain, one that speaks to wounds around self-assertion and identity. These wounds may be carried beneath bold exteriors or fierce independence, but the powerful light of this Moon phase brings them into the heart of how we connect, protect ourselves and seek validation. With courageous honesty this Full Moon offers an opportunity to rewrite the stories around self-worth and personal connection, to release old patterns of over-accommodating or overcompensating. And to learn to be in a relationship without losing ourselves..

The ruler of Libra and this Moon phase is Venus, currently in the sign of Pisces. Venus has been retrograde since March 1, 2025, drawing us within to reflect upon our lives, our close partnerships and what we truly desire and need.  Within hours after the Full Moon, Venus in Pisces stations direct, creating a gentle turning point, a sense of release and renewal, and heart-centered clarity in matters of love and emotional wellbeing.

Mars in Cancer adds an edge of vulnerability and emotional friction to this Moon phase. The warrior that seeks security and a sense of belonging, while putting up armor to protect feeling vulnerable. Any anger, fear or frustration pushed down and contained can result in defensiveness, withdrawal or moodiness and conflicts can come to the surface. When we lean into the discomfort with compassion and courage to reveal emotional needs, Mars in Cancer can become a motivating point of growth, between our desire to keep the peace and our need to stand in our truth.

This lunar phase is a compelling invitation to release patterns of people-pleasing, emotional withdrawal, or reacting impulsively. To speak truth with kindness, where our relationships reflect not only who we’ve been, but who we are becoming.

At its heart, this Full Moon in Libra is a powerful moment of integration, of realigning our relationships, personal values and emotional boundaries. A chance to bring peace to the battle between standing alone and bonding with others, to hold both in harmony, where love flows again from a place of inner alignment, that's clearer, wiser and more soulfully true.
