As Pisces season winds down, the cosmic energy increases with the first eclipse of 2025, the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Virgo. This will be a total eclipse, referred to as a “Blood Moon” due to the reddish tint and if the sky is clear will be visible in North America and South America. Eclipses occur when the nodes of the Moon are closely connected to a New or Full Moon phase, creating profound inner and often outer changes that move us forward in ways that ultimately help us to grow. This is the 2nd Moon of the 18 month Virgo/Pisces nodal phase that began last year.

As this powerful lunar light rises in the night sky, awareness sharpens on the details of daily life, our health, work and service routines where we may be holding on tightly to the idea of perfection. With appreciation for Virgo’s gift of discernment and improvement, this Full Moon Lunar Eclipse creates an emotional reset, calling us to release the illusion that control is the only way forward; to balance and integrate the practical and the ethereal in a more aligned and holistic way of being.

Mercury, the ruler of this Moon is currently in Aries, and on March 15, 2025 stations retrograde asking us to take a pause, to pay attention to our inner dialogue and rethink certain areas of our lives affected by the Messenger’s rearview reflection.  Examine any fears or frustrations and have important conversations with honesty and courage. Closest to this Full Moon is the South Node in Virgo, illuminating karmic patterns rooted in past experiences, in this life and beyond that are ready to be cleared; over-analysis, rigid thinking or harmful criticism of self or others. Opposite the Full Moon is the Sun, Saturn, the North Node and Neptune, all in Pisces, guiding us on the path to our highest potential. As emotions intensify, refrain from the pull of escapism or drifting, and with spiritual discipline, wisdom and intuition, trust in the unknown.
